Mutual Recognition (Automatic Licensed Occupations Recognition) Regulation 2014



2   Commencement
This Regulation commences on 1 December 2014 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.
3   Definitions
(1)  In this Regulation:

4   Local licences, recognised licences and deemed local licences
(1)  For the purposes of the definition of local licence in section 3 (1) of the Act, each licence that is listed in Column 2 of the table in Schedule 1 is prescribed as a local licence.
(2)  For the purposes of the definition of recognised licence in section 3 (1) of the Act, each licence issued under a law of another jurisdiction that is listed in Column 1 of the table in Schedule 1 is prescribed as a recognised licence.
(3)  For the purposes of section 4 (1) of the Act, each local licence listed in Column 2 of the table in Schedule 1 is prescribed as equivalent to the recognised licence or group of licences listed alongside it in Column 1.

A supervisor certificate under the Home Building Act 1989 authorising a person to do electrical wiring work without supervision
An unrestricted electrical mechanic licence and an electrical contractor licence, both held by the same individual, under the Electrical Safety Act 2002 of Queensland
An endorsed contractor licence under the Home Building Act 1989 authorising a person to do electrical wiring work without supervision
An electrician’s licence held by an electrical installation worker under the Electricity Safety Act 1998 of Victoria
A supervisor certificate under the Home Building Act 1989 authorising a person to do electrical wiring work without supervision
An electrician’s licence held by an electrical installation worker who is also a registered electrical contractor under the Electricity Safety Act 1998 of Victoria
An endorsed contractor licence under the Home Building Act 1989 authorising a person to do electrical wiring work without supervision
