1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Deer Regulation 2008.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on 17 October 2008.
3 Definition
In this Regulation:the Act means the Deer Act 2006.
4 Authorised officers
For the purposes of section 17 (1) of the Act, persons appointed as authorised officers under section 167 of the Local Land Services Act 2013 are prescribed.cl 4: Am 2013 No 51, Sch 7.12.
5 Penalty notice offences and penalties
For the purposes of section 33 of the Act:(a) each offence created by a provision specified in Column 1 of Schedule 1 is prescribed as a penalty notice offence, and(b) the penalty prescribed for each such offence is:(i) in the case of an individual—the amount specified in Column 2 of Schedule 1 opposite the relevant provision, or(ii) in the case of a corporation—the amount specified in Column 3 of Schedule 1 opposite the relevant provision.
6 Delegation of Minister’s functions to authorised officers
For the purposes of section 34 of the Act, an authorised officer is authorised.
