Division 19 Soil conservation works
In this Division—soil conservation works means development necessary—(a) to avoid, manage or mitigate the effects of salinity, acid sulfate soils, acid soils or sodic soils, or(b) to avoid, manage or mitigate the effects of erosion.
109 Development permitted without consent
(1) Development for the purpose of soil conservation works may be carried out by or on behalf of a public authority without consent on any land.(2) A reference in this clause to development for the purpose of soil conservation works includes a reference to development for any of the following purposes if the development is in connection with soil conservation works—(a) construction works,(b) routine maintenance works,(c) emergency works, including works associated with landslides,(d) environmental management works.
